Heraldic seal. 14th-15th century - Lot 180
Heraldic seal. 14th-15th century Copper alloy, with dark patina. Diameter 20 mm, height 35 mm. Circular die, of the same origin as the pinnacle. Cross of direction. Field: shield with three blackbirds surmounted by a label. Legend in orle, between two fillets; in gothic capitals: S (fleurette) P (double fleurette) MAYD DART (triple fleurette). The legend of this seal presents two singularities: the absence of a cross at the top, and the separation of the words by one, two then three fleurettes. Expert : Roch de Coligny, Cabinet Honoré d'Urfé.
