This collection, started and formed mainly in the early and mid-19th century, includes five prints from the MARIETTE collection, initialed and dated on the back in pen and ink by Pierre II MARIETTE (1634-1716). These last ones come most probably from the MARIETTE sale of 1775. Some lots have been joined with the handwritten documents concerning them by Jean-Joseph CARLIER. The description has been as precise as possible, but does not exclude small defects, visible on the photos. The prints are almost all copper engravings, etchings or burins, and unless otherwise stated, are fixed by glue dots on strong 19th century paper and are sold as is. The dimensions are taken at the bowl unless otherwise stated.
