Spain or Great Britain, late 18th century. Flintlock pistol with forced bullet signed "DONCASTER". Cal. 14 mm approx. All metal parts with slight gray patina. Round, unscrewable steel barrel with beaded muzzle. Flintlock lock with swan-neck outer hammer, steel bassinet. Counterplate decorated with silver warrior trophy, breastplate and flags. Manufacturer's markings "DONCASTER" and punches under the thunder. Frame and barrel are matched "1". Chased steel trigger guard. Walnut stock with silver cap with dog head and silver thumb piece topped by a helmet. Functional mechanism with two clear cocking notches. Inside of barrel dirty. As found, never previously collected (good condition). 30.5 cm (barrel 13.5 cm).
