Kingdom of Italy, 1st Empire (1804-1814). Infantry sapper's axe. Large crescent-shaped axe head with spiked heel in gray patina. Round socket. Mounted on a blackened beechwood handle with two brass fittings, the hoof ending in a nipple (later handle, good condition). Iron: 44 x 25 cm. Handle : 95 cm.
