France, Restoration (1814-1830). Socket bayonet model 1822. All gray metal parts stained with traces of orange peel oxidation in places. Triple-slotted socket and median ferrule. Hallmarked on the heel and stamped on the elbow. Black leather scabbard with two brass fittings, the clevis with button. (Scabbard leather worn, scabbard seam open along half the length, brass fittings bumped, fairly good condition). 53 cm (Blade 46 cm).
