France, Third Republic (1870-1940). ANXI model infantry lighter saber, fitted with a reused blade. Bronze mount with 28 grooves, unmarked. Bleached buffalo tie. It is assembled with a slightly curved, double-edged reused blade, engraved with Spanish (?) mottoes "ENRIQE - COL - SPADEIHO" on one side and "DEL... - EM - ALLEMANHA", partially legible. Black leather scabbard with two brass fittings. Fairly good condition.) 72 cm (blade 58.5 cm).
