Model 1883 cavalry officer's saber, privately made by Entreprise Henry in Châtellerault.
Mounted in half-rose bronze with three branches decorated with foliage, cap with bead surmounted by a rivure dome-button and short tail decorated with laurel twigs, curved beak plate decorated en suite. The main hilt is stamped "L" in a circle twice. Filigreed horn handle. Straight white hollow-point blade, marked on the back "Manufacture d'Armes de Châtellerault Septembre 1883 - Entreprise Henry". Natural leather tie. Nickel-plated steel scabbard with one suspension ring. (Good condition).
