LACARRA Lucia. Freed of London ballet shoes. Inscriptions shoe 1: con cariňo and signature; shoe 2: signature. Born in Zumaia, Spain, Lucia Lacarra joined the Víctor Ullate school at the age of 14 and a year later began her professional career with Ballet Víctor Ullate. She has been principal dancer with several major companies: Ballet National de Marseille, San Francisco Ballet, Munich Opera and Dortmund Ballet. Lucia Lacarra has won numerous awards, including the Nijinsky Prize and the Benois de la Danse. She was named Dancer of the Decade in 2011 at the World Ballet Stars Gala in Saint Petersburg. She founded GOLDENLAC Production and now dances alongside Matthew Golding.
