Filipa de Castro was born in Lisbon and studied dance at the Conservatório Nacional. In 1996, she joined the CNB Portugal. In 2016, she was awarded the Positano/Léonide Massine prize for international dancer of the year. Filipa performs regularly at galas and international dance festivals, alongside her partner Carlos Pinillos.
