Chased ormolu desk clock decorated with a sphinx surmounted by a lyre on which rests the circular white enameled dial with Roman numeral hours and crowned by an eagle with outstretched wings. Rectangular base in green veined marble. Empire style, Napoleon III period. 29 x 8.5 x 15.5 cm. (wear to the gilding, missing key, deformation to the lyre strings).
