Venison dagger, gilded brass hilt with inverted S-shaped quillons, faceted spindle with tortoiseshell plates, plain iron blade hallmarked "AG" at the heel, velvet-covered wooden scabbard, gilded and chased brass fittings. Nineteenth-century work with reused eighteenth-century guard and spindle. Length (with scabbard): 47.5 cm. Good condition. Experts: Virginie LASALA and Jean-Julien DELAUTRE
