STRASBOURG, 18th century, Joseph Hannong. Earthenware circular dish with scalloped edge and gadroons, decorated in the tradition of Charles-François Hannong's productions, in blue and manganese, with a table in the center, topped by a flowering basket with a bird, and a scrolled frieze and foliage around the edge. Marked on the reverse H. circa 1762. Diam. 33 cm. (two cracks at the rim, and chips). Note: similar dish in "Jacques Bastian, Strasbourg, faïences et porcelaines, 1721-1784, tome 1, Edition MAJB, p.154.
