Glaive d'infanterie modèle 1831, made by Manufacture Royale privée de Châtellerault, SF.
Cast brass mount with 26 flutes. Blade with two carp-tongue cutting edges and triangular flattened heel, painted in old-fashioned gray, stamped and marked "Manufacture Royale de Châtellerault" on one side and "Septembre 1839" on the other.
64.2 cm (blade 49 cm).
(Wear and tear, needs cleaning, fairly good condition).
