France, late 19th-early 20th century. Imperial eagle paperweight. Round in shape, the central brass embossed motif of the uncrowned eagle resting on lightning bolts, and secured with two rivets on navy cowhide, the whole edged in leather and encircled by a small brass ring with water leaf decoration. Diam. 10 cm. (Quality workmanship. Good condition).
