Great Britain, late 19th century. Socket bayonet model 1876 modified for Egypt. All metal parts white with traces of tanning in places. It is stamped "40" on the elbow, with remnants of War Department markings on the heel and "Egyptian" characters. Brown leather scabbard with two brass fittings (good condition). 63.5 cm (Case height 7.5 cm x Diam 1.65 cm).
