GOUFFÉ Jules - Le livre de cuisine, comprenant la cuisine de ménage et la grande cuisine. Paris, Hachette, 1870. Fort in-8, full raspberry percaline, muted spine XI-844 and 25 color plates. A great classic with chromolithograph illustrations typical of the period. This second edition is complete with the 25 color plates announced, unlike the original 1867 edition where they are often missing. According to G. Oberlé, Gouffé is considered "the Lent of the Second Empire".
