1933.
Large in-4, full black basane, 70 autographed ff out of approx. 300 blank, and a small Italian-style in-8 volume of 157 ff in the same binding, rich in autographs. 74 signed and sometimes illustrated ff, covering the period from 1936 to 1953, from a famous Bordeaux restaurant specializing in bouillabaisse and Cassoulet: Biscouby. The book opens with an autograph letter from Pierre Benoit. Numerous original drawings enrich this guestbook. We recognize the signatures of the Duchess of York, Serstevens, Raimu (the book was interrupted during the war), Raymond Queneau and his wife Janine, as well as many other signatures yet to be identified, such as that of Colette. The small album from the previous decade contains: a signed postcard from Jules Ladoumègue, a card from boxer Marcel Thil, two signed business cards, one sent by Minister Barthou and the other by Raymond Poincaré, a photograph of Clémenceau, a signed card from Miss France 1930, Yvette Labrousse, a humorous full-page mailing from Mistinguett, dated 1931, two cards from racing cyclists Robert Grassin and Henry Wynsdau. This guestbook also features numerous autographed signatures from the worlds of art, literature (Tristan Derème, Georges Duhamel), politics, the military, etc., accompanied by many signed original drawings (Poulbot, Géo Ham, etc.).
