LYON or ROANNE, 18th century. Pair of earthenware cylindrical covered pots decorated with a cartouche of two entwined snakes surrounded by a floral frieze. Old label on reverse: Faïence française XVIIIe provenant d'une ancienne pharmacie de LYON. Inscriptions "Balf. Nervin" and "Sacch: Cristalif". H. 25 cm. (chips, chips and hair. One lid broken, glued back). An earthenware cylindrical covered pot with a rectangular reserve surrounded by a garland with the inscription "Ex. D'Absinthe". H. 22 cm. (broken, reglued).
