Bookplate Soufflot de Magny, Auxerre. The engraved bookplate "Argent à une colonne de gueules, accostée de deux castors au naturel posés en pal" is most probably that of Germain-André Soufflot (1755-1808), nephew of the famous architect ennobled by letters patent of March 1737, with regulation of arms.
Full red morocco, gilt edges. Yellowed paper, scattered brown spots.
