[Auctioneer in the 18th century] - Lot 960
[Auctioneer in the 18th century] Very interesting register of an auctioneer, Joseph-Simon Dubus-Brisce, received as huissier-commissaire-priseur at the Châtelet on February 13, 1769. In folio. Approx. 35p written. The volume begins on the day of its first sale, April 24, 1769, and ends in December 1777. The contents are not detailed, but a list with dates, places, names of sellers (estates), amounts and margins. The majority of sales are in Paris, with a few around (Saint Germain en Laye, Saint Cloud, etc.). Full parchment in poor condition, the pages after the end of 1777 are blank (some leaves have been torn). Rare testimony of the 18th century.
