DREANO LAURENCE - Lot 3

DREANO LAURENCE Idealist art, book object Boxed set including a booklet presenting the artist and her work, plus a small transparent resin sculpture of a curvaceous woman, the emblematic figure of the Touraine artist. Edition of 200 copies. "After taking classical sculpture courses in Tours and Paris (Terre et feu, Matisse's former studio), "Dréano blossomed in a poetic, naïve and idealistic universe where we find all the simplicity of universal values that make us feel good. Sculptures and paintings that put a smile on your face and make you want to 'sparkle'" (Thierry Syntca Arts Actualités Magazine). She has been exhibiting in art galleries in France and abroad since 2005, and since 2008 has been commissioned to create monumental works, notably in hospitals and maternity wards (monumental sculpture at Pôle Sud Santé), where her feminine, reassuring paintings and sculptures appeal to staff and patients alike. Selected by crystal-maker DAUM for its "Love" collection, she created the ultraviolet crystal and amber sculptures Maternity Bliss (2009) and Désir (2010)" (artist's website).
