Barometer-thermometer in molded, carved and gilded wood, the - Lot 254
Barometer-thermometer in molded, carved and gilded wood, the upper part crowned with a vase flanked by laurel falls and housing the rectangular thermometer, the circular dial painted in grisaille and signed TROMBETTA PENSA. The lower part is adorned with braces and ends in two small silvered scrolls. Late 18th century. 107 x 30 x 6.5 cm. (mercury system present but incomplete, small accidents and missing parts, restorations).
