France, Louis-Philippe (1830-1848). percussion pocket pistol, circa 1840. 12 mm caliber approx. All metal parts with gray patina. Smooth, stepped round barrel with small muzzle bead and simulated rifling. The chests, breech and trigger are decorated with foliate scrolls. Retractable trigger. Walnut teardrop stock with steel cap forming a primer reservoir. Functional mechanism with a single notch. Inside of barrel oxidized. Complete. 17 cm (barrel 6.5 cm) (Wear and minor wear, breech tail damaged and missing. Fairly good condition.)
