Orient or North Africa, 19th c. "Levantine" or "trading" flintlock pistol, cal. approx. 16 mm. Originally a British cavalry flintlock pistol from the early 19th century, it has been converted. Brass barrel with small decoration. Flat-bodied steel flintlock patina dated 1808 and engraved with a lion. Cut and cast brass fittings. Walnut stock with long barrel. Mechanism blocked, non-functional. 42 cm (barrel 23 cm). (Wear and accidents, steel parts with stained gray patina. As is).
