Germany, 1st World War. 1914 bayonet, variant made by Bayard. Oxidized frame with rust bloom, wooden plates held by two screws. White blade with gutter in its dried grease, control stamp on the back and "BAYARD" logo & manufacturer's marking on the heel. Standard steel scabbard with longitudinal decorative lines on the edges in imitation of leather scabbards, in its original black oxidized rust-blossom lacquer. In its original state, never before seen in a collection. 43 cm (Blade 30 cm). (Wear and patina from the passage of time, unusual. Fairly good condition).
