France, Third Republic (1870-1940). Historical reminiscences of Charles Armand CHENEVEAU (1868-1945), father of Physician General Roger CHENEVEAU (1897-1982). Sailor's uniform, circa 1900 - Rare navy bachis (or work cap) model 1858 with "FORBIN" stripe and white canvas bachi cover. The cap is made of blue knit with two red stripes, and the back fastened with six brass rivets. Not common. (Lick marks and moth holes). FORBIN Torpedo boat launched in 1928. - One white canvas bachis cover - One white jacket with blue collar, die-cut - One removable blue collar - One large blue and white striped fabric bag with drawstring. 125 x 90 cm. - One white shirt. (Set with wear and tear, as is).
