Germany, Weimar Republic (1919-1933) - Third Reich (1933-1945). Schachthut" mining service parade uniform. Cylindrical cap without visor, rigid frame covered in fine black cloth. The top of the cap is trimmed with gold cannetille embroidered braid forming "wavelets". Gold cannetille embroidered front badge depicting a crossed hammer and pick, the symbol of German miners, surrounded by foliage. Black satinette inner cap and natural leather sweatband. Missing plume. Worn. 11.5 cm high (age-related wear and patina, good condition).
