Large "Athenian" oil lamp in chased and gilt bronze, the amethyst reservoir encircled by three horned satyr heads and ribboned vine leaf garlands. The tripod base is decorated with a piaster frieze and finished with sabots, centered on a fluted thyrse. The circular base in pink-veined marble is decorated with flower buds and rests on three rectangular fluted legs.
Louis XVI style, late 19th century.
