Belgium, mid-19th century. Small Lefaucheux system pinfire pistol. Cal. 5.5 mm. Serial no. 26. 6 shots. All metal parts nickel-plated with light surface oxidation in places. The frame, cylinder and barrel are engraved with a small interlacing design. The smooth cylinder is stamped "ELG" and "26". Folding trigger. Octagonal barrel with rear sight. Ebonite stock plates decorated with vine shoots. Rod present. Single and double action mechanism with a clean, play-free cocking notch. 12 cm (barrel 5 cm). (wear and minor wear, good condition).
