(in the 1920s), large in-12, smooth red cloth-backed boards with fillets and title in black, boards with color illus. depicting a young cook in front of her stove turning in a saucepan, 320 pp. 60 figures in black in-text, alphabetical table of recipes, numerous seasonal and diet menus. Probably the First Edition of this collection of family recipes (the only edition with only 320 pages instead of 446). It can be compared to Tante Marie's famous cookbook, first published at the end of the 19th century. Preparation of eggs, poultry and game, as well as numerous seasonal menus and a very good chapter on napkin folding. A large section is devoted to pastries and other "sweets".
For once, the cover is in very good condition!
