Antonin Carême (1783 - 1833), one of the greatest chefs of the early 19th century, needs no introduction. We present here the two volumes of his "Pâtissier royal parisien" in the third revised, corrected and expanded edition of 1841. The original edition dates from 1815. Superb plates of 182 "subjects" of pastry dishes. Ex-libris of the great chef Robert Viel. VERY RARE.
Very good condition of paper and plates; covers show some minor normal spotting; very good professional restoration.
