Paris, ed. chez Martinon, 1844, 2nd printing, much enlarged with unpublished text and vignettes on steel, dark green half-chagrin, title and year, fleuron in gilded ornamented boxes on 5-rib spine, green and yellow "cailloux" paper boards, period binding, gilded headband, IV - XXII - (4) -609 - (1) pp., illustrated with 14 out-of-text portraits, 9 out-of-text "genre" engravings (2 different engravings on the same page) and 10 in-text engravings, as described in Vicaire 177/178, EX-LIBRIS of Henri de Kisielnicki, sold by the Parisian bookshop Rouquette. This volume contains gastronomic texts by eminent gastronomes such as Brillat-Savarin, de Berchoux, Grimod de la Reynière, Colnet de Cussy, Antonin Carême and many others. Indispensable for those interested in 19th-century cuisine. Very fine binding, unfortunately unsigned. Some light spotting, usual scattered foxing.
