Alexandre Ysabeau (1793 - 1873) was a French physician, agronomist, natural history professor and man of letters. He was the author of 34 books! A "small" book, but packed with information on vine cultivation and fruit trees. The different grape varieties and their distribution in France, planting, maintenance, vineyard management, harvesting, wine preparation, but also the main varieties of fruit trees, cultivation, harvesting and use of fruit. Cider apples are also covered. The study of pests. And finally, the use of fruit for preserves and dried fruit. RARE.
