Remarkable bibliography of works on rural and domestic economics and the veterinary arts, including vegetable and fruit cultivation, including vineyards, livestock breeding, beverage manufacture, the art of caring for domestic animals and many other subjects. The book contains 2078 references and hundreds of biographies. It was the first bibliography of its kind in France. The author (1768 - 1832) was an engineering officer, then head of office at the Ministry of War and later the Ministry of the Interior. He had a considerable literary activity and was an excellent agronomist. He was also the father of French poet Alfred de Musset. Very good condition; a small "snag" on the spine at the bottom of the spine.
