FRANCE, 17th century. Circular mortarboard in patinated bronze, the body alternating profiles of a helmeted man, medallions depicting a maternity, fleurs-de-lis and flowers. The buttresses are shaped like cake molds. A pestle is included. H. 13.5 cm. Diameter: 20 cm. (accidents on the neck and pestle).
