Rectangular jewelry box in blackened wood and carved bone veneer. The lid is decorated with a miniature painted in gouache on paper depicting the departure for the island of Cythère after Fragonard.
The whole resting on four small turned wooden legs, the interior in blue velvet.
Late 19th century.
