Belgium, circa 1840. Forced-fire percussion pocket pistol, circa 1840. Caliber approx. 12 mm. Serial no. 22. All metal parts with stained gray patina. Smooth round barrel. The chests are decorated with foliate scrolls. AF" stamp under crown. Retractable trigger. Walnut burr teardrop stock with white metal thumb piece. Partly functional mechanism with two clear, play-free cocking notches, the trigger not always striking. Inside of barrel oxidized. Complete. 13 cm (barrel 3.5 cm). (Wear and minor wear, stock fractured behind the breech and glued back together. Fairly good condition).
