Morocco, late 19th - early 20th century.
Nimcha sword, circa 1900.
Steel frame damascened with friezes and small gold leaf decorations, horn hilt with silver ring and guard with three quillons facing the blade. Slightly curved steel blade with gray patina, flat back and hollow side. Silver-plated metal scabbard richly chased with arabesques, with three suspension rings, two of which are on the chape. It comes with its raspberry-colored silk thread suspension cord.
