France, late 19th century. Exceptional small BULL DOG type pocket revolver. Cal 9 mm. 6 shots. All metal parts finished in bronze and gold damascened with arabesques and geometric motifs. Recessed barrel with St. Etienne proof mark in a recess. The hammer has a white polished and blued finish. Folding trigger with blued finish. Steel ramrod with white polished finish and blued articulated housing. Ivory grip plates. Functional single- and double-action mechanism with a clean, play-free cocking action. The inside of the barrel is very clean with good scratches. 12.5 cm (barrel 4 cm). (Very good condition).
