France, 1st World War. Makeshift trench dagger, without scabbard. Made from a LEBEL model 1886/15 bayonet, nickel silver handle, the blade shortened. Cruise and blade with stained gray patina and minor surface oxidation. 31.5 cm (Blade 20 cm). (Fairly good condition).
