Malaysia, late 19th century. Malay dagger known as "Kriss". Wooden handle carved at right angles into a sparrow's beak (Garouda of Vishnu). Bronze ring. Flamboyant, two-edged blade in pamor steel. Wooden scabbard with two white metal rings, embossed with friezes of leafy foliage. 39 cm (blade 32 cm). (Wear and minor wear, crack in the wood of the scabbard at the base of the upper part. Fairly good condition).
