Indeterminate, 2nd GM. German-style backpack manufactured after the war in Germany as war damage (?). Made of heavy feldgräu canvas, with two front pockets with flaps edged with leather piping. Cotton canvas and leather suspension straps. In uncovered condition. (wear and accidents, dirty). Provenance: attic of a château in the Nancy region, annexed and occupied by the Germans in 1914 and 1940, then by the Americans in 1944.
