CHINA, Compagnie des Indes, 18th century. - Lot 46

The sixth is decorated with small flowering branches. H. 23 cm Chips, Wear, three fine hairs starting from the rim. Very fashionable in the 1760s, this model gave rise to the same decoration on Marseille earthenware, known as "fleurs des Indes" or "chrysanthemum" decoration. Whether painted on porcelain or earthenware, the decor is extremely refined.
