Portico clock in alabaster and black marble, richly decorate - Lot 256

Portico clock in alabaster and black marble, richly decorated with chased and gilded bronzes. The upper part is decorated with an antique-style bowl with handles underlined by a frieze of pearls and topped by a bouquet of flowers, flanked by two urns. The circular white enamelled dial with black hours and Arabic numerals signed ARNOUX in PARIS, underlined by branches and a medallion in Wedgewood porcelain. The uprights are decorated with foliage scrolls and porcelain plaques. The whole rests on a rectangular base edged with a row of pearls, foliage and flowers, and finished with five small "toupies" feet. The pendulum, with its stamp, is decorated with a face and a radiant sun. Louis XVI period. 53.5 x 34 x 10 cm. (small accidents and missing parts).
