Small secretary with curved front and sides in exotic wood m - Lot 292
Small secretary with curved front and sides in exotic wood marquetry known as butterfly wing marquetry, the upper part covered with a breche marble and opening with a flap forming a writing desk, the interior with three niches and four drawers, the lower part with two doors revealing a niche and a drawer. The uprights are rounded, the bottom rail is curved and the whole rests on four small curved legs.
Ornamented with gilded bronzes such as lock escutcheons and sabots.
Stamped by Jean-Baptiste HÉDOUIN, received master in 1738 and JME.
Louis XV period.
111.5 x 56 x 34.5 cm.
