Circular "MARU GATA" tsuba signed, 17th century.
Made of steel, decorated on one side with a lake landscape with a bridge crossed by a figure on a mountain background, and on the other side with figures including a rider in the center of a habitat on a mountain background. Multi-character signature around the "Nakago-ana" blade opening, flanked by two openings for the "Kotzuka" and "Kôgaï".
Diam. 7.5 cm.
Thickness 4 mm.
(Age-related wear and patina, traces of oxidation and rust in places. Fairly good condition).
