Enfield-Snider type 1855/67 snuffbox artillery snap hook.
Cal. 577 Snider. All metal parts with stained gray patina. Rifled barrel. Lock engraved "TOWER 1870" and with royal crown. Barrel with frog and rear sight. Snuffbox marked "SNIDER PATENT". Long-barreled walnut stock with steel and brass fittings. Missing ramrod. Functional mechanism with two clear, play-free cocking notches. The inside of the barrel has surface oxidation and shallow scratches.
99.5 cm (barrel 52 cm).
(Wear and tear, barrel end trim missing, fairly good condition).
