LAURENT DE L'ARDECHE Histoire de l'Empereur Napoléon, illustrated by Horace Vernet. Paris, Dubochet, 1845. Fort in-8, green half-chagrin with corners, spine highly decorated with Napoleonic symbols. Gilt edges. 51 magnificent H.T. plates of uniforms drawn by Bellangé, colored and gummed, and 500 in-text vignettes by Vernet. Some foxing, notably on the spines of some H.T. plates, and minor defects, including a slightly lightened spine.
