[ENCYCLOPEDIA—MUSIC—FAKE VOLUME]
A curious folio volume in half-cloth, likely compiled in the early 19th century, containing articles from Diderot and d’Alembert’s Encyclopédie (1758) that have been cut out and pasted onto blank sheets of paper; these articles concern music and musical instruments, including the frontispiece. Old handwritten titles in ink in the margins. Spine missing; yellowed paper with foxing and minor damage; worm damage primarily along the margins of certain leaves. As is.
