Sale information

A sale to benefit paediatric cancer research. Cure more, cure better.

Sale at 6pm, following an introductory speech by Professor Olivier HERAULT.

For over 20 years, the Enfants Cancers Santé association has been actively and dynamically engaged in a mission of public utility to cure more and cure better the 2,500 children affected by cancer and leukemia every year. Its mission is to fund pediatric oncology research, improve the quality of life of children in remission, and ensure equity of care throughout France.

In conjunction with the laboratory of Professor Olivier Hérault, head of the Biological Hematology Department at Tours University Hospital, the association has provided €40,000 for a hypoxic cell incubator.

Cancer research requires perfectly controlled and reproducible environments. Hypoxic incubators are the best way to reproduce an environment as close as possible to physiological reality for studying samples in vitro. These are hermetically sealed chambers in which the parameters of temperature, relative humidity, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels are totally controlled. 200,000 € have been donated to the Tours University Hospital.

The hospital is a regional expert center for pediatric oncology.
